Happy Friday!

Hi there! I hope everyone's week has been going well. :) We are sorry if some of you might have missed us last week because of the rain out, but we are going to be there tomorrow!
We are not going to to have as much as last week, but we will still have lettuce and herbs. :D

Basil: $3.00/plant

What is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics is a way of growing vegetables sustainably. It is rather similar to hydroponics, only where in hydroponics, you need to add nutrients to the water, we have very large fish- tanks stocked with fish; so the fish give us all the nutrients we need for the plants to grow. The way that this system is more sustainable than hydroponics, is that the water is curculated through the whole system. We pump fishy water to the plants, the plants suck up the nutrients (thus filtering the water), the water is then pumped back into the fish-tanks as clean as if we had put it through a filter.
