Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone! I am sorry that we didn't get to post this earlier this week, but here I am letting you know that we are not at the market today! The market was canceled this week, so we will be at the T&W Flea Market tomorrow! (Stand #44) :D [For directions click here.]

What is Aquaponics?

Aquaponics is a way of growing vegetables sustainably. It is rather similar to hydroponics, only where in hydroponics, you need to add nutrients to the water, we have very large fish- tanks stocked with fish; so the fish give us all the nutrients we need for the plants to grow. The way that this system is more sustainable than hydroponics, is that the water is curculated through the whole system. We pump fishy water to the plants, the plants suck up the nutrients (thus filtering the water), the water is then pumped back into the fish-tanks as clean as if we had put it through a filter.
